What do we do?
Access Services is the first contact with Adult and Family Services to present the problem or need for treatment.
Assessment screenings are made by telephone or face to face or on a walk-in basis. Screenings are conducted by qualified mental health and
substance abuse professionals to determine eligibility and to make appropriate referrals in the community. Access Services provides the initial
comprehensive evaluations for adults who are eligible for services to determine the appropriate level of care. Referrals are then made to the appropriate
services within the Adult & Family Department.
Crisis Services
provides face to face crisis assessments, pre-admission evaluations for voluntary or involuntary inpatient psychiatric services, face to face and/or
phone crisis intervention, and emergency custody order (ECO) evaluations. These services are provided in local hospital emergency rooms, at the Courtland Center,
and in the community. Crisis services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Program of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) services

a combination of services in order to function optimally in the community. The combination of services that PACT provides includes psychiatric, medication management,
case management, crisis, and community support services. Services are provided by a multi-disciplinary team of qualified mental health professionals.
Services in PACT are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Crisis stabilization
services are provided on a residential unit and is designed to assist individuals who are undergoing a behavioral health or co-occurring behavioral health and substance

medication management, individual and group counseling, and case management. Individuals may stay in the crisis stabilization unit for up to fifteen consecutive days.
Individuals can be referred for crisis stabilization services as part of a transition from an acute inpatient setting to the community. The Crisis Stabilization program
accepts admissions 24 hours a day, seven days a week and will accept individuals who voluntarily want services and those who are on a temporary detention order (TDO).
Medical Detoxification services
