DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:
Therapeutic Day Treatment is a school based mental health program that integrates mental health services into the regular school environment. This year round program features a therapeutic summer program designed to maintain the progress that students make during the regular school year. A therapist and team of behavior specialists/clinicians provide a mental health program to referred students. Features of the program include, but are not limited to individual, group, family and play therapy for all participants. A treatment plan is designed for each participant that addresses the issues that are preventing optimal performance at school. Case management and psychiatric services may be coupled with Therapeutic Day Treatment services to better meet the needs of students enrolled in the program.
Old Forest Road Programs provide a therapeutic environment for students who can no longer be maintained in the regular school environment. Homebound teachers provide the educational component and are assigned by the referring school district
Psychiatric Services include psychiatric evaluation, nursing, and medication management as well as participation in the treatment planning process for all children in these programs.
WHOM DO WE SERVE:
Therapeutic Day Treatment services are provided to children and adolescents enrolled in preschool, kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high schools. To qualify for this service, children must meet the specific criteria of the program. Children whose behavioral and/or emotional problems are interfering with their ability to succeed in the school environment are candidates for program referral. A parent/guardian must be willing to participate in services if their child is under age.
How do I make a referral to one of these programs?
