What are Residential Treatment, Detox, & TDO Services?

  • Medical detoxification
  • Recovery and transition
  • Residential substance abuse treatment
  • Temporary detention orders
  • Crisis stabilization

What do we do?

Medical Detoxification services

  1. provide a safe medical detoxification for alcohol and/or drug(s) dependence and enable clients to become drug free;
  2. provide a detoxification that is humane and thus protects the client's dignity;
  3. facilitate the client's transition into the next appropriate level of care for ongoing treatment of his/her dependence on alcohol and/or drugs.

     Recovery and Transition services are provided in a 22-bed program for women who have completed primary care for an alcohol or drug problem. Individuals can stay for up to six months while gaining the skills and means to support their independent alcohol and drug-free living. Program emphasis is on transition and self-sufficiency.

     Residential Substance Abuse Treatment services are available in the 16 bed male and female treatment program. Persons entering substance abuse treatment spend 28 days learning how to begin and sustain lasting recovery from alcohol or drug dependence. Treatment is provided through individual and group counseling, task, lecture, educational, 12-step, and process groups. The 12-step model is incorporated in treatment.

     Temporary Detention Order services are one-on-one monitoring of clients and, if needed, arranging for commitment hearings for clients who need further court-ordered treatment and detoxification services.

     Crisis stabilization is provided in a six-bed unit. Persons with co-occurring disorders are assessed, treated, and stabilized before being transitioned to further care. Psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and individual and group treatment are provided.

Who do we work with?

     Medical Detoxification services are provided for adults at risk of significant withdrawal symptoms following alcohol or drug use.

    Recovery and Transition services are provided for any woman who has completed primary care for substance dependence and needs a transitional housing program, including pregnant women in their first trimester.

     Residential Substance Abuse Treatment services are provided for persons who have a primary diagnosis of substance dependence and are unable to function in a less restrictive environment. Persons must either be from our catchment area or referred by an authorized person from another area.

     Tempoary Detention Order services are provided for clients who are court-ordered into substance abuse treatment because they are a danger to themselves or others.

     Crisis stabilization services are provided for clients who are experiencing difficulty in two or more areas of their life, which may include mental health, substance abuse, interpersonal relationships, recognizing danger, or self-care.
