What do they do?

     Day Treatment is a therapeutic program within a school that offers daily services by a trained professional therapist that includes:

• Group Therapy
• Play Therapy
• Parenting Skill Training
• 9-10 Week Therapeutic Summer Program
• Individualized Treatment Plan
• Individual Therapy

      The Treatment Team includes a psychiatrist, nurse, psychologists, clinical supervisor, behavior specialists, and specialists to address specific treatment areas. Doctors, schools, courts, hospitals, FAPT teams, social services, parents, and others are involved with the child's treatment.

     Psychiatric Services include psychiatric evaluation, nursing, and medication management; these services participate in the treatment process for all children in these programs.

     Behavior Specialist Services are utilized in many different settings. They are therapeutic paraprofessionals that work with the child to mentor and maintain at-risk youth in safe and structured therapeutic environment. Behavior specialists work in conjunction with a variety of different services.

What else do we do?

• 24-hour emergency services for crisis intervention
• Groups to address individualized difficulties such as behavioral disorders, social skills, and anger management.
• Behavior specialist services, if necessary, to provide increased support, mentoring, and behavior management to the client in school.
• Individualized treatment plans, quarterly reports, and outcome measures (CAFAS/ PECFAS).

Who do they work with?

Behavior Specialists can be placed with children at any grade level.
